About Me

I began my professional career in libraries, starting at the circulation desk and working my way into the IT side of things. During the completion of my Master’s degree in Library and Information Science, I concentrated on the technology classes such as web design and information architecture.

For the last decade I have worked as a software tester in a variety of roles using a broad spectrum of tools. I’ve also coded a bit using Ruby, Java and most recently Python. Most recently, I’m looking to parlay my testing skills into a more development-oriented position and getting some SDET exposure. I’m currently studying testing frameworks, data analysis modules like Panda as well as data visualization libraries and Selenium.

My hobbies include: cycling, snowboarding, running (slowly), surfing (poorly), studying history and board gaming.
